Ditching the mat this morning and embracing Mother Earth and all her glory...the rain brings a smell of wet grass and dirt a rawness to the countryside that has its own beauty.
As the layers shed I feel a wildness coming through, a natural embrace of human at its most simplest: The layers we wear (and I wear a lot) act sometimes as a barrier to what it really feels like to be alive, to feel the wet squelch of earth between the toes and the droplets of rain on the body...I feel the need to connect back to that child like carelessness at least once a day before I place my shields back on and enter the world.
But with the ability to feel so much more, to breathe deeper and to own my own body and space in the chaos that is around.
